Dear Neighbor,

It’s been an honor to represent you in the NM State House serving District 36. I am running for re-election because I love our community. I want to work with each and every one of you to continue bringing more jobs to our district, conserving our natural resources, and investing in our future together.

I understand hard work and am excited to continue working for you. I am proud to be a third-generation New Mexican from a family of teachers and ranchers. My mother, the daughter of a rancher, was an educator at a New Mexico state prison and at several community colleges here. I grew up in El Cerro Mission in a single-wide trailer with a communal well.

I’m a lifelong outdoorsman and I have a passion for public service. I was elected to the Las Cruces City Council in 2007, where I led the effort to create the City of Las Cruces Sustainability Officer and to focus on economic development and care for existing neighborhoods. I have served Las Cruces in the State Legislature since 2016.

By day I work as a Field Representative with the New Mexico Wilderness Alliance, where I’ve helped to lead the effort to conserve Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks.

As your State Representative we’ve been able to meaningfully transform our state through groundbreaking policies like the Energy Transition Act, the Produced Water Act, Graduate Medical Expansion grants, and the Healthy Soils Act.  We’ve got so much more to do.

I’m excited to connect with you and your family and I’d be honored to have your support for my re-election.

Let’s keep working together!
Nathan
